What's this blog?
This blog is a place for me to publish…whatever I want. It’s a hodgepodge of things including Outdoor Recreation, Food, Religion, and even Politics and…whatever I want. Hopefully something I put out to the world is useful to somebody somewhere but regardless, it’s just a place for me to say it.
Who am I?
I’m husband to an amazing wife and father to 7 crazy wonderful kids. I also love God and the outdoors. I’m fascinated by so many things. I’ve got food on here that’s been published in newspapers but I’m no cook. I dabble in things, usually in the vein of “How could combining these ingredients go wrong?”
I’m a little bit of an entrepreneur. I have 3 businesses that I run and my wife has a couple more that I help out with.
I help coach a youth mountain bike team, build and maintain an mtb trail system at a local park, and serve as a youth leader in my church.
My family is active and adventurous. My kids race mountain bikes and do gymnastics. We take every opportunity we have to get outside and enjoy Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, Hiking, Camping, Playing on the water, and just being outside.
I live in Idaho so much of our year is winter. Though we don’t do a lot of winter sports, I do build a large pallet sledding hill in our backyard each year and whenever we can, we like to build igloos, snow caves, and quinzees.
I’m just trying to live life to the fullest and help the youth, especially my own, figure it all out and have a great life.
